Mixu Paatelainen has named the 22 players he will be taking to Esbjerg to face Denmark in Finland’s friendly international on the 15th of November.
There are not many changes from the previous squad; Juhani Ojala is the only uncapped player to be brought in. A couple of Finland’s more high-profile players have been recalled – Perparim Hetemaj returns after a suspension and Alexei Eremenko Jr returns after an injury – but otherwise it is a familiar-looking squad of players.
The full list is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Lukas Hradecky, Otto Fredrikson;
Defenders: Veli Lampi, Juhani Ojala, Niklas Moisander, Petri Pasanen, Jukka Raitala, Markus Halsti, Kari Arkivuo;
Midfielders: Tim Sparv, Mika Väyrynen, Kasper Hämäläinen, Alexander Ring, Daniel Sjölund, Alexei Eremenko Jr, Perparim Hetemaj, Roni Porokara, Roman Eremenko, Riku Riski;
Forwards: Teemu Pukki, Timo Furuholm, Mikael Forssell.
NB: there have been two changes to the squad since the time of this article’s publication.
